Another good weekend
Erin and I took Friday off of work so we could have a 4 day memorial day weekend break. On Friday we took a small road trip up to the Cascadian Farms roadside stand way up in Rockport, WA. It only took us about 2 hours to get up there. After that we drove a bit further to the Skagit County general store in Diablo and bought some of the best fudge ever. We then went to the gorge overlook and took some pictures. To get home we took the non-interstate route down through Arlington, Monroe, Carnation, and Preston. In total we were on the road for a little over 8 hours. On the way home we stopped and rented two movies. They were both pretty cheesy and bad.
On Saturday we spent some money. We purchased a few needed items along with a new handheld GPS unit. This replaces the one that was stolen back in early 2002. In fact, we got the exact same model. The price had only dropped by about $100 in 4 years. So now we can start geocaching again. We also watched the Edmonton Oilers beat the Ducks to advance to the Stanley Cup finals.
Sunday we did our weekly grocery shopping and mostly just hung out. We watched Munich so we can return it. It was a LONG movie...
Today we are going to see if the weather will hold out long enough for us to hit a couple of local geocache sites for the first time in 4 years. Later we will be making our famous (we at least to us) chili.
